I have personally seen the lives of children change for the better just by virtue of them having a bond with their musical friends and opportunities to build towards a promising future. This experience gives them skills, hope, pride, and, most importantly, a road to accomplishment and joy.

As I read the Harmony Project college scholarship application essays each year and participate in the interviews, I am amazed and inspired by our students who overcome what appear to be insurmountable challenges, becoming the first in their families to attend college. It is an honor to have helped build an organization that helps turn each child’s college dreams into a reality.

I am so deeply honored to serve on the Board of the Harmony Project because for many years I have had a front row seat to watch the way it has provided underserved children with invaluable resources that have enabled them to achieve success and happiness in life beyond their wildest dreams. I feel incredibly grateful to get to play a small role in supporting the Harmony Project and its mission to support the children and families that are involved.

When I was first introduced to Harmony Project I was sold immediately. A non-profit that improves the lives of children in need through music is something that anyone would agree with and support. But it was only after I attended an in-person event that I really understood how special this organization is. When you see the students play, when you hear their stories and hear what Harmony Project has done for them, and when you meet the staff that cares so deeply about these kids it is hard not to be inspired.
